The lock is signed and adorned with foliage and a snake that bites itself in the tail. The barrel is partially engraved with lofwerk, provided with a ring and a drum rim in the same shape, marked at the bottom with MLMA and a crowned rosette flanked by the letters I and R. The flask of solid ivory, presumably walrustand, is simply cut. The iron fittings consist of a loading rod, a screw plate engraved with a lying female nude and two snakes with dragon heads wound around her, the trigger guard on two sides, filled at the front with chisel work, and a butt cap engraved with a branch with acanthus leaves a calyx around the screw in the middle at the bottom, the loading stick has an iron cap, Netherlands, Michel de la Pierre, Maastricht, c. 1660 - c. 1665, ivory, iron (metal), cutting, l 45.8 cm l 30.4 cm d 14.1 mm w 1124 gr.
