Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns (October 9, 1835 - December 16, 1921) was a French composer, organist, conductor and pianist of the Romantic era. He was a musical prodigy and a pioneer in recorded music. From the 1870s until the end of his life he made 179 trips to 27 countries. No photographer credited, undated (cropped and cleaned).
