Puerta principal de la Colegiata de San Isidoro

León, 1883 (CA.). Main door of the Collegiate Church of San Isidoro. This is called the Door of the Lamb, since this is the main theme that appears on the tympanum: the Mystical Lamb supported by the Angels, the Sacrifice of Isaac, Sarah at the door of the tent and Ishmael the archer riding through the desert. On the left there is Saint Isidore, on the right Saint Pelayo and completing the iconographic program are King Daid, five musicians and the signs of the zodiac. On the back of the photo appears the photographic stamp of Ruiz Vernacci (Madrid) and in the caption of the photo, the date of publication (01/03/1932). It is also signed by Winocio Testera, so it can be deduced that it is a photographic reproduction of an original by Jean Laurent and company. Furthermore, it is a numbered series: León N.2391.
