Sir Frederick Gordon Guggisberg KCMG DSO (20 July 1869 – 21 April 1930) was a senior Canadian-born British Army officer and British Empire colonial administrator. He published a number of works on military topics and Africa. During the First World War, he was mentioned in dispatches five times, and was awarded the Distinguished Service Order in 1918. In 1919, Guggisberg was appointed Governor of the Gold Coast. Close association with native Africans during his survey work convinced Guggisberg that the African races and Muslims of the Middle East and Asia were capable of eventually attaining the development levels of modern Europe. He founded Achimota College for the training of native teachers and instructors. It was later to become the largest establishment for the education of native Africans.
