The Bridge of Crows and Magpies: the Ojak-gyo bridge, Namwon, Korea

The Ojak-gyo, literally meaning the bridge of crows and magpies, was named after a legend of crows and magpies that fly side by side across the Milky Way on July 7th every year in order to keep a rendez-vous with the woman-star, Vega, and the man-star, Altair. The term Ojakgyo can also designate someone that connects two loving people. The bridge in Namwon city, in Jeolla Bukdo Province, was built during the Joseon dynasty in 1582. Joseon (1392 - 1910).
