People sit in the ruins of the town of Balakot, Pakistan, 31 January 2006. The town had almost completely been destroyed by an earthquake, killing an estimated 20.000 people. The north-eastern province of Cashmere, Pakistan had been hit by an earthquake of the strength of 7,6 on 8 October 2005.
