Young Man With A Horn -- A puffy-cheeked young man with a £22 silver trumpet may some day be the successor of Louis Armstrong and Harry James. He is 4-year-old Roger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sawell of West Wickham, Kent -- pictured here in his bed, blowing high hard 'early morning' notes on his shiny instrument, as he does every morning at six o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Sawell don't find it necessary to set their alarm clock. Roger has been blowing the trumpet since he was two years old, and his music teacher, Mr. E.G. Moss, ***** he can already play nearly as ***** as most youths of twenty. November 30, 1949. (Photo by Reuterphoto).
