Agnes Hellebic, tragic suicide in Paris, 12th century. Deserted by her lover, she threw herself down a well which came to be known as the Puits d'Amour (Well of Love). She wears her hair tied in a bun, a dress trimmed with fur and puff sleeves a la bombarde.
