Dante meets Guido Montefeltro who recounts his life, when he advised Pope Boniface VIII how to conquer the fortress of Palestrina.. Private collection. In 1921, for Dante Aligheri's 600th anniversary of death, the Istituto Nazionale Dantesco chose Amos Nattini to illustrate The Divine Comedy. The illustrations have been published in 1923.
