"Fresco detail 'Campi di Cremona', Villa Cicogna Mozzoni, Bisuschio, near Varese The Mozzoni family in 1400 built a hunting lodge in Bisuschio Between 1500 and 1559 the Mozzoni's enlarged the Villa After 1560 they charged the Campi brothers from Cremona to fresco the palace. In 1580 Angela, the only descendant of the Mozzoni's, married Giampietro Cicogna, in this way founding the family which still owns the villa today. It is a classical example of a rural Renaissance villa surrounded by an Italian garden The garden was the decision of Ascanio Mozzoni (d. 1593).
