He was also the country's head of state from 1967, serving as President of the State Council and from 1974 concurrently as President of the Republic, until his overthrow and execution in the Romanian Revolution in December 1989. Elena Ceausescu ( 7 January 1916 - 25 December 1989) was a Romanian communist politician who was the wife of Nicolae Ceausescu. Juan Domingo Peron (8 October 1895 - 1 July 1974) was an Argentine Army general and politician. He was elected President of Argentina three times, serving from June 1946 to September 1955, when he was overthrown by the Revolucion Libertadora, and then from October 1973 until his death in July 1974. Isabel Martinez de Peron (born Maria Estela Martinez Cartas, 4 February 1931), also known as Isabelita, is an Argentine politician who served as President of Argentina from 1974 to 1976.
