Frankish sword. The blade is broad and warm in the core (masked). The cuts, made of harder steel, are separately forged. The short parapet, made of two parts, attached to each other with rivets on both sides, shows traces of damascation. The beautifully shaped hilt of bone has been preserved. Perhaps this was originally still awarded by a button. The closure from above is now somewhat abrupt. On the legs hilt small restorations in plaster., Sword, spatha, metal, iron, organic, bone, 89,4 x 8,5 cm, vmea.
