Ottoman Empire. Turkey. Constantinople (today Istanbul). The Mosque of the Valide Sultan. It was built, between 1708 and 1710, by Sultan Ahmed III in honour of his mother Emetullah Rabia Gulnus Sultan. Engraving by Lemaitre and J. Arnaut.
