US soldiers land in Germany for the participation in the manoeuvre REFORGER I

Soldiers of the US army during their arrival at the airport in Frankfurt on the Main on 6 January 1969 with a plane of the type Starlifter C-141. They participate in the manoeuvre "REFORGER I" - "Return of Forces to Germany". Altogether around 17.000 soldiers participated in the manoeuvre, many of them were brought from the USA to Germany via air bridge. The equipment of the soldiers has already been in depots in Germany for the most part.
