Switzerland, Vevey. "Dairy flour" factory commercialized by the food company "Farine LactŽe Henri NestlŽ", founded in 1866 by Henri NestlŽ (1814-1890). In 1866 Henri NestlŽ created a combination of milk powder and wheat flour, starting industrial production in 1868. Within a few years his products invaded almost all of Europe and America, sometimes completely replacing breastfeeding, and sometimes, mostly, making up for the shortage of breast milk. After its first condensed and powdered milk products for infants, the company grew strongly, merging in 1905 with the "Anglo-Swiss Milk Company" to to form the "NestlŽ Group". Engraving.
