(Parisian auditorium opened in 1787 in the Jardin du Palais-Royal and destroyed by a fire in 1799. It had the shape of an antique racecourse, and its director was authorized only for festivals, meals, balls, but no theatrical performances. The sessions were scheduled several times a week (at the end of the afternoon or in the evening), and at the end of each one they offered a ball.
