Copy of the Balfour Declaration

Copy of the Balfour Declaration was a public statement issued in 1917, by the British government, during World War One, announcing support for the establishment of a "national home for the Jewish people" in Palestine. The declaration was contained in a letter from the United Kingdom, Foreign Secretary, Arthur Balfour, to Lord Rothschild, a leader of the British Jewish community, for transmission to the Zionist Federation.
