Old Vic School opened. Today, Friday, Miss Ellen Wilkinson, Minister of Education, opened the newly established Old Vic Theatre School housed at the original Old Vic Theatre, Waterloo Road, London. Under the direction of the principles M Michael , St Denis and Mr Glen Byam Shaw, 70 students, selected from 300 applicants, will use set all down to 2 years 'hard labour' studying every branch of acting and stage design and stage management on their curriculum.
