Dissection of the face and brain, drawn by Jacques Fabien Gautier d'Agoty from dissections by Joseph Duverney and Pierre Tarin. Colored mezzotint, 1748. Gautier d'Agoty (1716-1785) was a French anatomist, painter and printmaker. A member of the Academie des Sciences, Arts et Belles-Lettres de Dijon, he teamed with the physician and anatomist Duverney to produce anatomical albums.
