Hermaphroditism: On 20 August, 1864, a patient passing as a male entered the Hotel-Dieu, Paris, with pleurisy. They were identified as Marie-Madeline Lefort who had been examined at the Paris Faculty of Medicine in 1815. Passed first part of life as female and second part as male.
