planer, Anonymous, 1760, wood, iron, General: 13 x 37.3 x 8.4cm (130 x 373 x 84mm), Wooden planer type predecessor. The planer consists of an elongated wooden block with a groove all around for handling. The chisel is placed about half way and the block rises slightly from both sides to the chisel. The wedge protrudes into the chisel opening and a curly cartridge is cut in front of the opening, bearing the year 1760. The curls run spatially downwards into the knife opening. Three marks are stamped on the front, 1892.
