Replica of Ancient Sagebrush Sandals

Pair of sagebrush bark sandals modeled after ancient sandals found in Fort Rock Cave in the 1930s and dated to more than 9,000 years old. 75 such sandals were recovered from the site buried under copious amounts of volcanic ash from the eruption of Mt. Mazama which formed Oregon's famous Crater Lake. The sandals are still the oldest footwear ever found.
