Caption: House music 'godfather' Frankie Knuckles has died unexpectedly aged 59. Frankie Warren Knuckles, Jr. was an American DJ, record producer, and remixer. He was born in the Bronx borough of New York City and later moved to Chicago. Originally a disco DJ he went on to become one of the originators of house music and during his career worked with major artists including Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Depeche Mode.
