Azurite and Malachite from Arizona

Azurite (blue) and malachite (green) are copper carbonate minerals that commonly form in and around copper deposits. Their bright colors make them attractive to mineral collectors. Some of the finest examples came from Bisbee, Arizona, where a mixture of these (and other) minerals made up a large percentage of the copper ore.
