Anne Farquharson, Lady Mackintosh (1723-1787). Lady Mackintosh's father was John Farquharson a staunch Jacobite of Invercauld, chief of the Clan Farquharson. She was married to Angus Mackintosh, Chief of the Clan Mackintosh. After the Battle of Culloden, Lady Anne was arrested and turned over to the care of her mother-in-law for a time. After an original painting by Allan Ramsay (1713-1784). From The Connoisseur, 1909-10.
