The world football challenge landed in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena where Chelsea defeated Inter Milan by a score of 2-0 before a crowd of over 80,000 soccer fans. Chelsea dominated play and controlled the ball throughout the game. Chelsea scored an early goal in the first half and led 1 to nothing at the half. Chelsea came out aggressive in the second half and scored their second goal on a penalty kick just minutes into the second. They kept pressure on the Inter Milan goal keeper all game and the score would have been greater had it not been for several sensational saves by the Inter Milan keeper. Chelsea's ball control was the key to their victory. The game was the second leg in a six city tour that features Club America, Chelsea FC, Inter Milan, and AC Milan. Game one of the challenge took place on Sunday in Stanford Stadium, Palo Alto, California, where Club America defeated Inter Milan in overtime penalties.
