Ulrich von Jungingen (1360 - 1410), Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights killed at the battle of Grunwald (Tannenberg). The painting depicts the Battle of Grunwald and the victory of the allied Crown of the Kingdom of Poland and Grand Duchy of Lithuania over the Teutonic Order in 1410. Ulrich von Jungingen's policy of confrontation with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland, led to the Polish-Lithuanian-Teutonic War and his death, at the Battle of Grunwald.
