Joe E Brown, American actor and comedian, 1934-1935. Brown became a star after appearing in On With the Show, the first all colour talking musical comedy, in 1929. In the mid 1930s he was one of the highest earning Hollywood actors. He later starred in Some Like it Hot (1959). Taken from Meet the Film Stars, by Seton Margrave. (London, 1934-1935).
