- HALL OF THE HORATII AND THE CURIATII : This great hall in the Appartment was decorated with frescoes painted between 1595 and 1640 by Giuseppe Cesari known as The Cavalier d'Arpino (1568-1640), a leading figure in Rome's Mannerist school of art. The frescoes illustrate tales from early Roman history as recounted by Livy.
