Samuel Dixon Crossing Niagara Falls, 1890

On September 6, 1890, Samuel Dixon (1852-1891), a Toronto photographer, crossed the Niagara River Rapids on a cable below the Great Cantilever Bridge. He made several crossings and performed stunts on the wire. One frame of stereoscopic image by George Barker (1844-1894), published in 1895.
