The general scene of the Ginkaku-Ji Temple (Silver Pavilion) in Kyoto which was built by Yoshimasa Ashikaga in 15th century. The garden attached to the temple is famous as the typical specimen of the garden of Muro-machi period. The pond and the mountain in the background are in beautiful harmony. This is the best preserved of the gardens belonging to the same period. Noteworthy are the stone grouping, stone bridges, and the waterfall. June 11, 1935.
