Caption: Gold plaque, from approximately 700 AD, found in Sitio Conte, Cocle Province, Panama, and now part of the Brooklyn Museum's collection. This large plaque is embossed with an ancient Panamanian crocodile deity. It is 9 x 8 1/2 in. (22.9 x 21.6 cm).
