Luis del Sol (1958) Luis del Sol (1958). - Luis del Sol, captain of Betis and Internacional, was born in Arcos del Jalón (Soria), but at a very young age he moved with his family to the Sevillian neighborhood of San Jerónimo, where he grew up. A footballer endowed with great technical and physical qualities, he soon stood out and was noticed by Real Madrid, a club that signed him in 1960. He was European champion with the Madridistas. He was later transferred to Juventus Turin. He also played for Roma. He returned to Betis in 1972, already at the twilight of his sports career.
