Interior view of the train car where the armistice of the First World War was signed in the Compiègne forest, about 90 kilometers north of Paris. In the same carriage Hitler wanted the French surrender to be signed on June 22, 1940. After this it was taken to Germany as war booty. The SS destroyed it before the end of World War II to prevent it from being used for the signing of the German capitulation.
