English explorers J. H. Speke and J. A. Grant

English explorers John Hanning Speke (1827-1864) and James Augustus Grant (1827-1892) at Gondokoro, south Sudan, at the end of their expedition, where they were met by Samuel (1821-1893) and Florence (1841-1916) Baker. On their 1860-1863 expedition Speke and Grant mapped parts of Lake Victoria Nyanza, Africa, and Speke found the outlet of the lake into the White Nile which he named Ripon Falls.
