Macropus thetidis, Print, Macropus is a marsupial genus in the family Macropodidae. It has thirteen extant species, which are divided into three subgenera. The genus includes all terrestrial kangaroos, wallaroos, and several species of wallaby. The term is derived from the Ancient Greek µ?????, makros "long" and p???, pous "foot". Eleven extinct species are recognised. The type species is the eastern grey kangaroo., 1700-1880.
