Zooarium Chimney

Zooarium chimney at Magic Mountain hydrothermal field, located on the Southern Explorer Ridge in the North Pacific Ocean, about 150 miles west of Vancouver. Zooarium chimney, with diffuse flow (lower temperature and not as focused as the anhydrite structures), provides an ideal habitat for vent biota. Ring of Fire 2002 Expedition.
