Ancient Egypt. Funerary cones made of clay. The name and titles of the deceased were inscribed on the base. Embedded in rows on the outer facades of the tombs, only the inscription was visible, so that they constituted a mark of ownership of the 18th-Dynasty tombs in Thebes. From left to right, and from top to bottom: cone of Totemhab (scribe of the Southern City), cone of Tchai (with the offerings formula), cone of Senhotep (scribe of the House of Life), cone of Amenemenka (Second Prophet of Menkheperre, and his wife Merytre, Singer of Amun) and cones of Djeho (son of Ankhhor, son of Djehor the nobleman, the prince, the great chief of the Meshwesh, leader of the prophets of Banebdjed.
