Honningsvåg 1953-05-23. Honningsvåg has been given a new fishing industry plant. The facility is the largest in a chain of freezers planned in Finnmark and Nord-Troms. First with the aim of conquering new export markets. The company was named "A/S Finnmark and Nord-Troms fishing industry", but the name fell difficult for the tongue so it was shortened to FI-No-Tros. The freezer technique makes it possible that the fish is as good as it came straight from the sea when it is made of proper raw material. The fi-no-belt plant receives all kinds of fish. The capacity is 14 tonnes fillet a day. Thoralf Trondsen makes sure to keep track of the large freezer hall. There is room for about 100,000 tonnes of ready -made food on the cooling warehouse.
