Elephant Water Clock. A masterpiece of medieval engineering. The clock was made by al-Jazari in the early 13th century for the King of Diyabakr. It told the time on the half hour using a novel ball run mechanism and was an iconic example of technology during the Golden Age of Islam by incorporating an Indian elephant.
