Peugeot Phaeton, 1898. Audincourt, France, 1899. Peugeot motor car, 10 horsepower. It reached 35 km/h. In 1899, Luis Carvajal y Melgarejo, Marquis of Puerto Seguro, acquired a car of these characteristics in Paris. As a cavalry lieutenant, in 1903 he donated it to the 2nd Mixed Regiment of Miner Sapper Engineers, making it the first motor vehicle in the Spanish Army. Army Museum. Toledo, Spain.
