'Edward Marsh's living-room', c1934. The living room of Sir Edward Howard Marsh (1872-1953) at 5 Raymond Buildings Gray's Inn. Marsh was a British polymath, translator, arts patron and civil servant. As a civil servant he worked as Private Secretary to a serveral of Great Britain's most powerful ministers, including Winston Churchill.
