Penthesilea, Amazon Warrior Queen

Penthesilea was an Amazonian queen in Greek mythology, the daughter of Ares and Otrera and the sister of Hippolyta, Antiope and Melanippe. She assisted Troy in the Trojan War, during which she was killed by Achilles. Amazon warriors belonged to an all female culture and society, reputable by their fearsome battle and fighting skills. Many still believe Amazon warrior women were purely myth, but various excavations in Central Asia and Europe, have founds women's graves, containing weaponry (swords and knives) and horse riding equipment, proportioned for a female hand and body. (cropped and cleaned).
