The sepuclhre of Quenn Elisenda de Montcada (c.1292-1364). Following her marriage to James II the Just (1267-1327) she became Queen of the Catalan-Aragonese Crown. They both founded the Monastery of Pedralbes. Her sepulchre consists of a marble, two-sided tomb occupying two storeys of the cloister within an arcosolium. It was built around 1343 by Pere de Guines and Aloi de Montbrai, unless there are doubts about the autorship. Chapel of Sant Miquel. Catalan Gothic. Cloister of Monastery of Pedralbes. Barcelona.
