Henry ""Long Ben"" Every, English Pirate

Henry Every (1659 - circa 1696) was an English pirate who operated in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. The biggest catch of his career was the Gang-i-Sawai, part of Grand Moghul's of India convoy of ships. They plundered about 600,000 pounds of gold, silver, and jewels. Every disbanded his fleet, sailed to Ireland and vanished into obscurity. Colorized illustration.
