Nikolai Vladimirovich Ruzsky (1854-1918), Russian general of World War I, 1917. Following the February Revolution of 1917 he resigned his command and went south to the Caucasus, with other Tsarist generals. On September 11, 1918 he was captured by the Bolsheviks in Essentuki, he was executed along with the last remaining loyal officers and generals in Pyatigorsk.
