Square model with rounded corners. The embroidery is only along the edge of the fabric. The pattern consists of a chain of diamonds, alternately worked up and provided with a star flower, a rosette flower with four leaves and a flower with six round petals. Small leafy branches spring between the windows. The lace is slightly wrinkled on the textile and has a repeating pattern of a one-sided leaf with a slanted top diagonally above it. The leaf originates from the pattern along the lower edge that consists of a chain of horizontal arches that form the shell edge. The scallop edge is finished with picots. The motifs are made in linen with openwork edges and cut-outs. The motifs are connected by a lattice ground: a square Valenciennes ground., anonymous, Europe, c. 1890, cotton (textile), Valenciennes lace, l 37 cm × w 37 cm w 3.5 cm ×, 2.5 cm.
