Caption: Victoria Palace Theatre, London, 1912. Taken shortly after opening in 1911, it was built as a music hall by Frank Matcham, a specialist in theatre design. The cupola carries a ballet dancer, said to be Anna Pavlova, which was lost in the 2nd World War.
