WWI, German Flak Anti-Aircraft Gun

Caption: "German anti-aircraft defense. A stereoscopic viewfinder plots the range and height of the target for the 3.7cm quick-firing Flak gun, fitted with a side-mounted magazine." By 1913 only France and Germany had developed field guns suitable for engaging balloons and aircraft. The Germans produced an incredible number of Fliegerabwehrkanone (anti-aircraft gun, abbreviated as flak).
