The Orangery, Kenwood House, Hampstead, London, 1995. Artist: Paul Highnam

The Orangery, Kenwood House, Hampstead, London, 1995. An interior view of the Orangery at Kenwood House, with its virtual wall of glass. Through the arched windows can be seen a magnolia tree in flower, with the bridge over the lake in the distance. The Orangery was already in existence prior to Adam's remodelling of the house which began in 1764, but was altered externally in order to blend with the new facade.
